US hurricane deaths highlight poor treatment of elderly in care

A nursing home in the US, where eight patients died during Hurricane Irma, has been removed from a government medical-care programme. The victims died in the sweltering Florida heat after the storm knocked out power and air-conditioning. The case has highlighted the often poor treatment of elderly people in care.
